| Indian Hills has been selected the top tennis program in Alabama, "Tennis Facility of the Year," in 1989 and 2000 by the Alabama Tennis Association. IHCC annually hosts charity tournaments, including Adopt-A-School and Keith’s Classic, benefiting ALS, DCH Foundation Drive 4 The Cause promoting breast cancer awareness. Indian Hills provides a full range of tennis programs; Cardio Tennis, quads, social mixers, men’s and women’s USTA teams, Junior Team Tennis, weekend round-robins and Quick Start Tennis for our future stars. Tennis staff is led by Keith Swindoll, USPTA Master Professional. Master Professionals have achieved USPTA’s highest tested rating ,they make up less than 1 percent of all teaching professionals and Keith is only the third person in Alabama to have achieved this distinction. Keith, a 4-time Alabama Tennis Professional of the Year, has been coaching tennis players for 27 years, all but one spent at Indian Hills. He coached 15 teams to high school state championships, dozens of ladies teams to local titles, and served as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the University of Alabama Women’s tennis team from 1999-2005. A graduate of the USTA High Performance Program and the University of Alabama, Swindoll is a former #1 30 & over age division singles player in Alabama, and a singles and doubles champion of the Pritchett-Moore Men’s City Invitational, the largest tournament in West Alabama hosted at IHCC for over thirty years. |
